Just a short distance from Aruba- a desert Island, Curacao is a tropical, green island with plenty of lush plants and grass. It was beautiful. We took a shuttle to a more private beach. The driver was surprised that we wanted to go to this beach as it was a drive away from the port, but we prefer less crowds. It was perfect. It was like our own private island. There were only a few others there. We swam in the warm beautiful water, snorkeled and played in the sand for a few hours before we asked to be picked back up. We then walked around the colorful town itself. There is a bridge there that opens up for the ships to pass through, so people have to wait for it to close before walking across to the town. It is pretty neat. It was a beautiful stop.
