Aruba~ Family Cruise March 2014

We stopped at Aruba during our cruise in March 2014.  Aruba surprised me.  It was not a tropical island.  It was a desert and very dry.  We arranged for a tour through the mountains in a four wheel drive jeep.  We stopped at various locations and hiked around.  We went to an area that had boulders on top of boulders right in the middle of open space.  It was amazing.  We don't know how they came to be.  It must have been millions of years ago that they fell from a mountain and rested there, but there is no sign of that now.  We also went to a cave along the ocean shore and climbed through there.  Lastly, we drove rugged terrain to a natural pool where locals like to gather and snorkel.  It was such a neat place to swim.  There were thousands of fish and the water was so clear.  We loved Aruba and the magnificent sites we were able to see.

Addison wanted a picture with these two cute boys that had found a couple of blue crabs and were playing with them like they were puppies or something.  They weren't afraid of being pinched or anything. They were super cute.
