Ada ran her final Mountainside Mile today. She hasn't been the fastest runner~ and that has been just fine. She doesn't like to run~ and that is just fine. She went out there today with a good attitude and ran her best~ literally. She never gave up and kept on going despite some pain and tiredness. She came in at 8:04. She cut a minute off her fastest time. 8:04 was amazing!!! She was so pleased with herself and I was of course a proud mama. I caught up to her mid course and ran next the her encouraging her to keep on. She has really proven herself this year in many ways. She has become a great leader, student, friend and person. She has accomplished many things that she didn't think that she could. This is only the beginning and I know she will be able to do anything in life that she sets her mind to do. I love this small in size, yet large in spirit fifth grader! Good Job Ada!!! Way to do your best and to not give up. You are the BEST!!!! always!!
