Ammon is always searching deals for trips and when a quick four day cruise popped up for super cheap, we jumped on the chance the make a road trip to Long Beach and hop on the Carnival Inspiration. It was a quick two stop cruise to Catalina Island and Ensinada Mexico. We drove to save money on flights. We stopped outside of Vegas in Primm at Whiskey Pete's to stay the first night and then headed the rest of the way. When we got back to port on Friday, we drove into LA to see the city, the LA temple and the "HOLLYWOOD" sign~ then headed back to Utah. On the way home, we stopped in St. George to stay and then drove home the next day. We were gone from Sunday to Saturday and had a great time together as a family. We listened to the Book of Mormon the whole drive and got about 2/3 of the way through it. I thought it was so much easier to understand as it was being read to us. It felt like a story time and I found myself really listening and shhhhing the kids so that I didn't miss parts of it. The kids actually did really well and listened too. We hope to finish listening the rest before Addison leaves in July. The trip was spur of the moment and others may feel that we do too many of these trips, but for us~ there is nothing better than time with the family. We enjoy trips and hope that the memories that we are making will last our children forever.
