MCXC Closing Social

We attended Addison's  Cross Country Closing social the other night at the Copper Mill.  He has had a successful season and improved greatly from his already great year last year.  He ran varsity all season which he was able to letter.  He received his four year picture frame that has a picture of him from each year and he also was awarded "Mr. Consistent" from his coach.  He was a constant competitor and pushed himself to the end every race.  It has been a lot of fun watching him run over the years and to find something that he loves to be involved in.  He has made some great friends that have been examples of strength on each course as well as in life.  I am grateful for them.  I am grateful for Addison's good hearted nature that carries through all that he does.  He has been a great example to Avery who now wants to follow in his footsteps and run cross country as well.  I can't wait!!

  1. Cross Country has been good for Addison. It has given him the opportunity to participate, to grow, and to excel. He has done well. Running competitively is not easy and it would be easy to just quit.
Addison has show stick-to-it-iveness and has battled through the aches and pains, the frustrations and has come out a winner. He will use these attributes to assist him through the inevitable trials that lie ahead. He has learned that there is a price to pay for success and and that by paying the price by doing your very best their are great rewards and joy at the end. I have always been able to see the parallels to sports and life. There are many great lessons to be learned by participation and pushing ourselves toward success both as a person and as a team. Addison is great example o us all. We were glad we could see him run at least a few times during these years. Keep on keeping on. We love you Addison.
