We were lucky to have Logan and Ellie come to our house on Thursday for a couple of days while their parents enjoyed some time alone. We are trading time watching kids for our trip in August to the Caribbean. It was fun to spend some time with them. Ada and Ellie were very creative and used their imaginations most of the time. They used the playhouse as their home and made food from plants, cleaned it, etc. They were great to entertain themselves. Logan and Avery did great too, but we had to come up with things for them to do more often. They all got along well and made some fun memories.

We set up the slip n slide which was a hit!
On Saturday we hosted a Surprise Birthday Party for Bonka Don. Jill planned and carried out most of the details with contributions from all the family. Don was surprised as he thought they were heading to the Temple. Instead, they took a detour to our house full of family. We ate, played games (fishing pond, three-legged race, sack races, water balloons and more) It was a great day with the Daugs Family. We missed those that weren't able to come, but we had a great turn out.
Saturday afternoon, Ada's best friend Madi came up from St. George for a farewell, so we snagged her for the day. She brought Ada a matching shirt, so they quickly put it on and we left the birthday party early and went to town for a girls day. We went shopping for a new BFF necklace. They get one every time they are together. They now have four, I think. We went to Hobby Lobby to find a craft/ project to do with a picture collage that I printed out of their last day together. We went to dinner at Pizza Pie Cafe and then back home to put our project together. They made snow cones, talked, roasted marshmallows and just enjoyed their time together. We took Madi home around 9:30 and the girls said their good-byes once again. They love their time together and miss each other when they are apart. Hopefully, we can get to St. George this fall to visit Madi at her new house.
We had a busy, fun-filled weekend. We were tired when Sunday came around, but it was all worth it.

My goodness, You guys are always doing something fun it seems. Good times never to be forgotten. No wonder you all have so many friends. We love you all very much!!!
