This last and final workshop that I went to this weekend was on masks and movement and how to use them to influence literacy fluency and comprehension. We picked a story and made masks that represented our character in the story. This is the mask I made. This is a little girl. I made her up and thought she came out pretty cute! She was one of three children in the story along with a pond full of frogs. We had fun making our masks and then acting out our story with movement and music. It was a fun workshop and made me excited to incorporate this type of learning one day in my own classroom.
You are so talented!!!!!! That is a great mask,
ReplyDeleteIbet yours was the best. When you do get your
own classroom, those kids will be very lucky to
have you for their teacher. Love you a bunch.

One of the greatest experiences of my life have been watching others learn, especially the important things of life. I guess that's why I chose to be a teacher. It certainly wasn't for the money, though I did appreciate being able to feed and house my family while teaching and enjoying the growth that I was able to experience. I have no regrets at all. You will be a great teacher because you care about others.
ReplyDeleteLove you all and always,
