Booster Day!

Avery is getting older and with age comes change.  He is required to get a booster TDAP shot for seventh grade, so we took him in today since we had a day off from school. What a better way to spend your day off from school, right?  He was nervous and felt faint before we even got there.  He was dreading it.  We found out that they recommended that he get two other shots as well, so he ended up getting three. He was not excited. The nurse was awesome and before we knew it, she was done and he was picking a sucker.  It has been a long time since we have had to do immunizations, but I surely am glad for them. I would much rather have the momentary prick of a needle as opposed to having the disease we are trying to prevent.

I promised him lunch afterwards. It is always fun to "Hang" with my kids, even at the Health Department getting immunizations.
