Green Canyon Marshmallow Roast

We spent the evening up Green Canyon with family and a couple of new
acquaintances. I wanted to spend some time in nature with my dad, so we made arrangements for our parents to join us. Mom and Dad had just met two sweet girls (mom and daughter that had just moved here from China 6 days ago to work at USU). My parents have been asked to help teach English to anyone interested as a part of their mission. We were glad to have them tag along with us to Green Canyon. We cooked the traditional Hot dogs and Marshmallows, both of which I feel they were unfamiliar with. They enjoyed learning some American traditions and eating some of our unusual foods. The mother spoke a little English, but the daughter doesn't know any. However, she loved running around with our kids and climbing. We climbed up the the top of a cave and were just playing around when I noticed to my left, a RATTLESNAKE!! The little girl, "Candy" wanted to go closer. I had to quickly grab her hand and say "No". After a few pictures, we quickly departed from that area!  I think that they surely got a piece of America tonight. We cut our night short to get her back to her office at Old Main, but it was a great evening and we hope we made a good impression on our new Chinese friends.
