I asked myself mid birthday party with a house full of 12 year old boys~ "Why did I do this again?" WOW!!! It was like the WWF at times. I don't know how people do it with a house FULL of boys all the time. I certainly appreciate my parents more now, with six brothers to tame. At the end of the four hour party, Avery tells me that he hasn't smiled and laughed that much in as long as he can remember. I then realized....... awwww, yeah, that's why I do the things I do. The reward of the smile, his happiness. Made all the planning, buying, playing, refereeing, etc.... all worth it. That's why we all do the things we do for our kids, because we love them and want them to be happy. I sure do love this sweet 12 year old. Love you Avery!!
I let my kids have a party on their 5th, 8th, 12th and 16th birthdays. Avery's birthday was actually on the 2nd, but that was spring break and I knew that most of his friends would be off doing something with their families, so we postponed it until the 13th. He had 13 friends that were able to make it. It created a lot of chaos being they were 12 year old boys, but they had a lot of fun. I took a lot of pictures as usual. But, I am only going to post a few here. We played ten different minute to minute games, ate pizza, watched a movie, played outside, played basketball, played kinect sports and Just Dance, had cupcakes, opened presents, wrestled, played football, and smiled and laughed.
I'm glad Avery has such good friends and also a good mother, puts out for the happiness of her kids. When they are happy it makes us happy too.
