Ammon and Avery packed up and headed for a campout in the snow Friday afternoon. They went form the warm sun of the Bahamas to bundling up and sleeping in a snow cave within 24 hours. I told Ammon to make sure and get some pictures, and he did, but he always forgets to pass off the camera so that he can get in a shot with his kids. He did a lot of work and is always so resourceful with everything. He made the roof out of doors so that the top was more sturdy. He and Avery slept well and had a great time. I am glad that Ammon is an involved father that makes sure to be with his children. They are very lucky, as are all of us. I am glad they made it back safe despite the storm that passed through.
It never ceases to amaze me how adaptable the human race is. They live and seem to trive in the high Arctic as well as the Amazon Jungle, and every where in between. Not many of them make the trasition in 24 hours though. Avery is blessed to have his dad so involved in his life. The world would be so a much better if every young man had such a father in their lives. It looks like they had a great time playing in the snow too. It actually was a beautiful storm, especially now that the sun is out again and the sky is blue.
